It’s been a while since I’ve updated here so I’ve decided that I should do more tumblr-like blogging for this food blog.
You know how sometimes we walk into 7eleven and wonder if that particular new can of coffee is nice or if that new waffle product is worth buying?
Since I snack often in the office with colleagues, I’ve decided to take photos of the food and upload it with just a short description. That should help you decide better.
We’ll see how this pans out
I consider myself more of a baker than a cook. I think its highly likely because of the fact that I have quite the sweet tooth. I am also very open to experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new recipes and tweaking them accordingly. For some reason, sometimes when I want to make something, I wouldn’t have enough of this ingredient or that ingredient so some creative substitution will have to come into play.
I don’t know about other bakers/cooks, but I personally have a list of “Must Learn how to make this” items. Below are some of the things I can think of off the top of my head.
- Pasta – I’ve tried this by hand and quite sucessfully if I may add. Perhaps I should write a post about it soon.
- Ravioli – I probably need a pasta machine for this
- Macarons – first attempt failed. Must try this again soon
- Pavlova
- Mille Crepe cake
- Traditional Apple pie
- Custard Tarts
- Tart cases
- Ham Chim Peang
- Zhu Kiok Chou (I hv no idea how to spell this) – trotters in black vinegar
Perhaps I should update this post when I think of more.
What about you? Is there a food/dessert/dish that you would love to try out someday?
Happy Chinese New Year 2011 to all my readers! May the year of the Rabbit bring an abundance of love, joy, happiness and success!
I had a meeting of food bloggers in KLCC last Friday night to discuss a new project. All I can say now is that it sounds really interesting! Time to brush up on my food blogging now that I’m on holiday.
Watch out for updates!
I messed up the coding and database of this blog and had to redo it. Luckily I still had this template coz I particularly like it
Look out for updates soon
